GP Floor Paint
Application tips
APPLICATION
Stir well prior to use. The paint should be applied by Brush or
Roller. Surfaces should be clean and free from surface
contamination such as grease, oil, loose or flaking paint.
Previously unpainted concrete floors are best treated with two
coats, the first thinned with 10-15% thinners KPT04 to act as a
sealer coat, and the second coat unthinned. All tools and
equipment should be cleaned immediately after use with thinners
type KPT04.
HOW TO APPLY
1.
Sweep up Loose Debris.
2.
Ensure floor is free from oil & grease.
3.
If the floor is Power Floated or has a Grano Finish apply
Concrete Floor Etch as directed on the relevant Technical
Data Sheet. (Floors that are treated with a chemical hardener
may not be suitable for painting, if you are unsure test a small
area prior to painting.)
4.
Paint by hand round wall edges, pillars machinery etc.
5.
Thin the first coat of floor paint with 10% thinners and
apply to floor, leave to dry overnight with adequate
ventilation.
6.
Apply second coat of floor paint full strength leave to
dry overnight with adequate ventilation.
7.
Floor is ready for use after 12 hours with adequate
ventilation.
8.
It is ALWAYS better to apply two thin coats rather than
one thick coat.
